In addition to the existing geothermal power plants in Insheim and Landau, further drilling sites for geothermal energy are to be developed in the region in order to extract thermal water.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-last-item\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n                  <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n                              <div class=\"col-12 md:col-6 space-y-6\">\n                                    <div>\n                    <p class=\"mb-last-item\">From these drilling sites, the extracted lithium-rich thermal water is transported via pipelines to central plants for lithium extraction and for the production of energy and heat in Landau. There, the lithium chloride obtained is converted into lithium hydroxide, the raw material for the battery industry, by means of electrolysis.<br \/>\nVulcan works closely with regional energy suppliers to supply heat to the surrounding communities.
